Members of the WMSA think very carefully about the way in which the money they raise is spent. All discussions are in conjunction with a member of the leadership team (usually Mrs Stanley Bell or Mr Ratcliffe) and we consult the school council to ensure that significant purchases such as play equipment are what the children want and will enjoy.
In 2014, after some discussion, we decided to allocate the sum of £100 to each class from Nursery to Year 6, for the teachers to use against the cost of school trips. This has meant that potentially more expensive trips can be booked for the children as the expense is partly subsidised by the WMSA. We have given this money again for the forthcoming year (2015/2016) and are delighted to be able to help in this way.
We have also continued to pay for the annual pantomime and popcorn, which the children enjoy very much.
We will be paying for the new maze and story teller's chair in the playground.
