This term our topic will be 'CASTLES'. We are hoping to get our topic off to a great start with a visit to Colchester Castle.
In maths we will be continuing with number, working with numbers to 50 and learning about place value, before moving on to multiplication, division and fractions and numbers to 100. We will also be working on measures - length and height, weight and volume, money and time.
Reading books and diaries need to be brought to school every day - please don't forget to sign the reading diary when your child reads with you at home. We are working hard at our phonics in preparation for the Year 1 phonics screening test later in the term. Please read at home with your child as often as possible and keep practising their phonics!
Children will be going swimming this term on alternate Monday afternoons in Framlingham.
Mrs Heeley is the Year 1 TA in the mornings.
Mrs Humfrey and Mrs Garland will be covering the class on a Friday.
