This week we finished off our penguin work and started our new Power of Reading book - about a Polar Bear. The weather has been very appropriate and we enjoyed going out in the snow to read out and teach each other some facts about Polar Bears! Did you know that a Polar Bear can run at 25mph and that their skin is black?! Ask your child to tell you some more interesting facts about Polar Bears!

In maths we have been working on subtraction this week.

In phonics we have been finding out the different ways to make the 'oa' sound.  oa - boat, road,  ow - slow, yellow, oe - toe, goes, o_e - rope, smoke, ough - though, dough, o- no, both.
