This week we have been finding out about Nocturnal animals, we enjoyed using the chrome books to find out some information about them.

Nocturnal Animals

We have enjoyed reading and retelling the story 'Owl Babies' by Martin Waddell.

In maths we are working on place value using numbers to 50. We have been finding out how many tens and ones there are in different numbers.

In phonics we have been learning about the different ways to make the 'j' sound. J at the beginning of words like jug and jump. 'Soft g' - 'ge, gi, gy', in words like gem and gentle, giant and giraffe, ginger, gym and energy.

The children have brought home a lolly stick and a picture of an animal to make into a 'nocturnal animal puppet' for their work next Tuesday.

In PSHE this week we have been talking about ways to keep healthy.

We enjoyed going to have a look at and read some of the books in the bookfair this afternoon.
