week beginning 16th October

Well, another busy week, which takes us to half term. Everyone is in need of a break and a rest, it has been a really 'full-on' first half term!

It was great to talk to so many of you at parents evenings this week and to see so many of you supporting your children in their assembly.

We had great fun whizzing around the playground on bikes on Monday afternoon.

In maths we have been working on number bonds to 10, I will add some links to games to support this. We enjoyed working with Sally Crowley, a local artist who came into school this week to do some drawing with the children for the 'Big Draw' project. The Big Draw is taking place in Wickham on Saturday, with exhibitions and activities. Some of the children's work will be on show in the village hall.  The Big Draw

On Thursday we learned a little about how people celebrate and the story behind the celebration of Diwali.

Unfortunately I was not able to book us in for a trip to the Transport Museum at Carlton Colville, but if you are looking for somewhere to go for a day out next weekend they have a special event on. The transport museum is a great place to go for a day out and a visit there would support our topic work.  East Anglia Transport Museum
